Maryland Wage Transparency Law
Effective October 1, 2024, the Maryland Wage Transparency Law mandates that all employers, both public and private, disclose salary ranges, benefits and other compensation details in every internal and external job posting. The legislation aims to promote pay transparency and equity in the workplace. Maryland-based employers or those with employees in the state are advised to revise their compensation frameworks in preparation for the forthcoming requirements to ensure compliance with the new Act.
